I grew up in the small town of Muleshoe, Texas.
Ever since I was little, I knew that I wanted to work in television news. I would watch the TODAY Show getting ready for school, and the local evening news before bed.
In high school, I created a weekly news show where we featured school news, weather, sports, and our senior spotlight segment. This only fueled my passion for journalism.
After graduating from Muleshoe High School, I enrolled at West Texas A&M University, where I studied Mass Communication with an emphasis in Broadcasting, Electronic Media.
My freshman year, I applied for a job as a production assistant at KAMR Local 4 News and Fox 14 News in Amarillo and was later hired as an associate producer in the news department.
While at the station, I interned with our lifestyle producer and host and was given the opportunity to have my first on-air segment.
In February 2017, I moved to New York City, where I was able to work as a Fox News Channel College Associate. I worked under the Fox Nation department, and it was there that I realized how important the digital platform is to newsrooms across the world.
After the 10 week program, I returned to Amarillo to work with KAMR Local 4 News and Fox 14 News' digital team as a digital content producer.
I do not know where God will take me next. He has given me so many wonderful opportunities, and I am excited to see what he has in store.
For now, I am excited to be back and working for the people of the Great High Plains!
